The Secret to Working with Marketing Services Professionals

Finding the right marketing services professional is an art in itself. Learning how to do that doesn’t mean anything if you don’t know how to effectively work with them.

There are always exceptions to the rule, but generally speaking, marketing services professionals of all kinds including consultants, graphic designers, website developers, printers, gadget providers, plus, plus, plus, want to help you get what you need to be successful.

It’s simple really… their success depends and whether or not you use their product/services. It is in their best interest to do the very best they can to help you. (Does that sound familiar? – is it somewhat similar to the way you conduct business? --- hum… coincidence? I don’t think so.)

Knowing that the business of a marketing professional is to give you what you need isn’t it reasonable to assume that the products you get from them are limited only to the products they offer and the quality of information you provide to them when you place your order?

Garbage in, garbage out. If you provide little quality information to your marketing professionals the best you can hope for is an educated guess. No matter how educated the guess might be -- do you want the livelihood of your business dependent upon a marketing professionals’ guess at what will work for you? These guesses are usually created by looking at what is common among the real estate population – not what is unique.

The quality of information you provide to a marketing professional will determine whether or not you will be promoted as just another cookie-cutter replica of every other real estate agent in the business.

Remember: YOU are your product and the elements of your marketing plan are specific to you. Your marketing plan and promotional pieces should reflect your unique style showcasing the service you provide to your customers and the information you find that would be helpful or valuable to your customers to receive.

You need to let the companies you choose to provide your marketing products know who you are, what you offer, how you offer it, and what sets you apart from your competition. Give them the tools to better help you and you will end up with promotional materials that you can be proud of.

Be responsible for your marketing – from plan through promotion. This is your business.
